At Springfields we want to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence to book Springfields for your specific requirements.

Getting around inside
Level Access
There's level access once you’re inside the property to the following rooms:
  • Ground floor bedrooms are both double bedrooms.
  • Open plan lounge and kitchen area.
 
Access with steps
There are steps from the main entrance to:
  • Access the house.
  • To reach the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs.
 
Lounge and kitchen
  • There’s an open plan lounge and kitchen.
  • From the main entrance to the kitchen, there’s level open plan access.
  • The work surface is 92cm high and the gas hob is 96cm high and the oven is between 100cm and 160cm.

​Bedrooms
  • There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor. There are a further two twin bedrooms on the 1st floor, accessed by stairs. All bedrooms are ensuite.
  • The doors to the ground floor bedrooms are 78cm wide. Access to bedroom 1 is around a corner which is 78cm wide.
  • One bathroom on the ground floor has a low access shower which has a small lip. The bathroom door is 78cm wide and the shower door is 58cm wide.
  • There are no hand-rails in any bathrooms. The wash basins are 90cm high.
  • All bedrooms have windows and are non-smoking.
  • Bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.

Getting around outside  
Path to main entrance
  • From the car par to the main entrance, there is level access which is covered in gravel until you reach a small stone path.
  • There’s a gate to the property which is 92cm wide.
 
 Main entrance
  • The path to the house is flat but there’s a step to access the front door which is 25cm high.
  • The front door is 85cm wide.
 
Open fields
  • There are open fields accessed via a gravel path.
 Lawn Area
  • There’s a small lawn area to the front of the house.

Getting there
Travel by public transport
  • You can get to Springfields by train.
  • The nearest train station is Castle Cary. The train station is 12 miles/19 km from Springfields.

Travel by taxi
Taxi operators who will carry wheelchairs:

Parking
  • There are two small parking spaces near the house. The parking area is covered in gravel and may be difficult to push a wheelchair over.
  • There’s further parking available about five minutes’ walk from the house. This parking area is also covered in gravel as is the route from the car park to the house.
