Springfields - Booking Terms and Conditions
1. Bookings
The availability page on this website gives an indication of the current booking position but is not a guarantee of availability. If Springfields is shown as unbooked, please complete the form to make a provisional reservation.
2. Deposit
A booking for a holiday becomes firm when a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the holiday price is received by us. Up to that time it is a provisional booking and will be held for a maximum of 7 days. Remittances must be made in pounds sterling by cheque, credit/bank card (Paypal 3.4% fee applies) or BACS bank transfer. The deposit is returnable if the booking is not accepted.
3. Final Payment
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later than 60 days before the holiday begins. If the full balance is not paid on time we reserve the right to cancel the booking, in which case the deposit will be forfeited.
4. Damage Deposit
The final balance will include a £350 damage deposit. This will be refunded to your nominated bank account 7-10 days after departure, provided the house is left in the condition it was found.
5. Cancellation
If a guest cancels less than 60 days before the holiday begins we will endeavour to re-book the property and, if successful, will refund monies paid less the deposit. With more than 60 days cancellation notice, the deposit would only be forfeited if we are unable to re-let the dates. Guests are therefore advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover any eventuality.
Cancellation due to Covid
If you’re unable to travel to take your holiday because of a Covid national or local lockdown, we’ll guarantee that you will get a full refund. Please note that the refund guarantee is provided by the property owner and applies only to the address given on the booking and when the travel restriction coincides with the period of your holiday.
The refund guarantee covers national and local lockdowns but does NOT cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) fall ill with Covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance. There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with Covid and self-isolation and a lot of bank annual travel policies also cover this. Alternatively, you can look for suitable cover.
6. Right to refuse
We reserve the right to refuse any booking and, in exceptional circumstances, to cancel or alter arrangements made for you. If we should need to cancel the booking due to circumstances beyond our control we will refund in full all monies paid to us by you.
7. Arrival and Departure
Springfields will be available to you from 4.00pm on the arrival day. We will supply a code for the secure key box placed at the property. The house must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure in order that cleaning can take place.
8. Parking
Two dedicated parking spaces are available for Springfields guests. There is also a guest car park available.
9. Guest obligations
a. We regret that smoking, pets and more than 10 guests, excluding babies in cots, are not permitted.
b. Any breakage, loss or damage must be reported and paid for. Reasonable replacement costs will be deducted from the damage deposit and further costs billed should the value exceed £350.
c. Please leave the accommodation in as clean and tidy a condition as you found it.
d. The guest undertakes to permit us reasonable access to the property but we will endeavour to do so only if essential and when convenient to the guest.
e. The accommodation is for the sole use of guests listed on the booking form.
f. The guest undertakes not to cause an annoyance to other guests or neighbours.
g. If, in the opinion of the owners of Springfields, any guest is not suitable to remain on the premises because of unreasonable behaviour or damage, the guest may be asked to leave their accommodation and no refund shall be due.
10. Liability
The owners of Springfields will not be held responsible for the loss of any valuables left on or around the premises and are not liable for any damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or property which may be sustained in or around the property.
11. Safety
Guests must accept responsibility for their own and their children’s safety inside the property and when outside.

We try to take every care to prepare our accommodation to a high standard. If a problem arises, please let us know immediately so that we can assist you.
